Our success really was based on being in the right place at the
right time, had we started the Courier Services first we would have
simply popped in and out of offices always in a hurry, however
cleaning at places you spend hours there and people get to know you
and soon they are discussing how their courier company has let them
down and that was it really.
Even since starting the Chauffeur side of things clients have sat in
the car chatting and soon they are mentioning how they wish they
could get reliable cleaners. So our company really has grown simply
on supply and demand. We have listened to what people want and then
invested in it. When directors were asking if we could run staff
around as well as parcels then we purchased a comfortable Mercedes
as arriving in a van wasn't really the right image.
We also don't try competing on price, we have watched companies try
cheaper ones and then come back, we certainly have also done that
ourselves. We didn't want a fast turnaround with staff as you then
have staff shortages, so we pay them a fair wage in the hope that
they will be loyal to us, without staff we couldn't operate which is
why we decided to concentrate on reliable and professional standards
rather then price, after all there is always someone new starting up
and offering it cheaper then everyone else.
Having a hands on owner also helps, when there is a problem people
do not want to be passed around, so therefore if you are not happy
that the member of staff understands your request you can simply
phone the owner on his mobile, then the buck stops there, we don't
want anyone to be disgruntled. So we offer a good service with
reliable staff, you pay a reasonable price for that service and we
pay the staff to give that service, that's what the 1st call
services and support brand is all about. |
